STILLWATER, Okla. -- Both Creighton cross country teams placed 26th at the NCAA Midwest Regional, which was contested on Friday afternoon at OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Okla.
The Creighton women were 26th of 33 teams, finishing with 714 points to beat schools such as DePaul, Drake and Oklahoma among others. Illinois won the meet with 108 points, just ahead of Tulsa (123). The top five individual finishers were juniors, paced by Iowa State's Cailie Logue (20:20.6). Logue beat Oklahoma State's Taylor Somers (20:28.0) by nearly eight seconds to the tape in the 6K race.
