CARY, N.C. -- The Creighton women's and men's cross country teams closed their abbreviated 2020-21 season on Friday at the BIG EAST Championships. The Bluejay women placed seventh while the men's took eighth at WakeMed Park.
Running in just their second, but final, meet of the spring, the Bluejays started fast.
"We went out hard," said head coach Chris Gannon. "Without much racing over the past year, we decided to go out fast and get the opportunity to race some high caliber competition. Coach Fayers and I expect that the BIG EAST will see at least two national qualifying teams on each side and potentially three.
