OMAHA, Neb. -- Led by Creighton softball head coach Krista Wood, the Creighton Softball team will be hosting it's first Hit-A-Thon fundraiser on Thursday, October 19 at 4:30 p.m. at the Creighton Sports Complex in Omaha.
The Hit-A-Thon is an initiative designed to raise funds for program enhancements that includes equipment upgrades, increased travel budgets and community outreach opportunities.
During this year's event, each player will get pledges from individuals in the community and the players will have 10 swings to hit the ball as far as possible. The distance of the farthest ball hit is then multiplied by the amount of your pledge.
