Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Men's Soccer and Bluejay Athletics as a whole will recognize the passing of former Bluejay Dr. Matthew Mendlick (1975-2023) with a tribute followed by a moment of silence prior to the Bluejays match with Akron on Wednesday, October 18.
Known to his teammates as Big Dog, Dr. Matthew Ryan Mendlick passed away after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer on October 15, 2023 at the age of 48.
A dedicated husband, father, brother, son, physician, coach and fitness enthusiast Matt will forever be remembered for his unwavering positivity.
