OMAHA, Neb. -- Six individuals and teams representing three sports affiliated with Creighton Athletics have been named as finalists for the 2023 Omaha Sports Commission Awards Show (The OSCAS). The nominees celebrate another great year of athletics in the metropolitan Omaha area.
The Bluejay volleyball program earned a pair of nominations. Outside hitter Norah Sis is a candidate for "Female Athlete of the Year", while Kirsten Bernthal Booth was put forward for "Female Coach of the Year". Sis was named BIG EAST Player of the Year and BIG EAST Tournament MVP, while Booth led Creighton to an 11th straight NCAA Tournament and ninth consecutive BIG EAST regular-season title.
