Creighton men’s basketball advanced to the quarterfinals of the NIT with a 67-79 over Memphis on Friday night. The win marked their seventh win in the last eight games.
In their first meeting since 1967, the game followed a similar pattern to this year’s “roller coaster season.” While last week junior forward Martin Krampelj was the most visible offensive leader, tonight saw five different Bluejays put up double digits, including another impressive performance off the bench from freshman forward Christian Bishop, who put up eight points and led the team with 10 rebounds to relieve a foul troubled Krampelj.
