The Creighton women’s basketball team is going to be fine.
After losing to a mid-major, albeit a very good mid-major in the Green Bay Phoenix, the Bluejays fell out of the AP top 25 after starting the season at No. 22. The context around that loss, as well as the entire season for this team, though, paint a picture of a team that is about to break out.
The Jays do need to address the bad shooting nights, they come up too frequently to dismiss, including last year’s NCAA tournament loss to Mississippi State, but beyond those occasional inconsistencies, several signs are pointing toward a team that will be better than last year’s squad.
