OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton's Boston Small is one of three male finalists for the 2023 Walter Byers Scholarship, the most elite recognition award bestowed by the NCAA. It's the latest honor for Small, who recently received a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for his efforts on the course, track and classroom.
As part of his recognition, Small will be awarded a $10,000 scholarship for part-time or full-time graduate study at a university of professional school. Small intends to attend medical school next year at either Creighton or UNMC.
A four-time member of the BIG EAST's All-Academic Team, Small graduated from Creighton Summa Cum Laude with a 4.
