Cincinnati, Ohio -- After picking up the game in the top of the seventh on Saturday, April 13, Creighton Baseball picked up a 10-8 win over Xavier in the series opener.
The win lifted the Bluejays to 26-5 on the season and 3-1 in BIG EAST action, while Xavier fell to 15-18 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
It was Xavier that struck first with a solo home run in the bottom of the first off the bat of Hayden Christiansen.
Creighton seized the lead with four runs in the third, got a two-run blast in the fourth from Teddy Deters and a solo home run from Cuyler Zukowski in the seventh.
