Lake Charles, La. -- Stung by a big inning in the sixth, the Creighton baseball team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 12-9 to Texas State in the first of two contests at the Lake Area Classic Tournament, hosted by McNeese State. Creighton moved to 1-1 in the tournament, while Texas State moved to 2-1.
On the season the Bluejays enter the evening game against host McNeese State at 4-1, while Texas State moved to 4-2.
