Mason, Ohio -- The 2022 Creighton Baseball season came to a close on Saturday, May 28 as the Bluejays suffered an 27-8 loss to Xavier in an elimination game at the BIG EAST Tournament.
Creighton saw its season end at 31-18 overall, while Xavier moved to 33-26. Xavier moves on to face Connecticut on Sunday, May 29. The Musketeers would need to win twice on Sunday to earn the BIG EAST's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Coming off a 16-8 win over Georgetown in the first game on Saturday, Xavier's offense remained red hot.
