Omaha, Neb. – The Creighton women's soccer team posted a 2-0 win over DePaul on Saturday, Sept 28, the Bluejays' first result over the Blue Demons in seven meetings.
Creighton improved to 7-3-0 on the season and 1-0-0 in BIG EAST play, while the Blue Demons fell to 3-5-2 overall and 0-1-0 in the conference.
Posting her third shutout of the season, Bluejays' netminder Katie Sullivan was tested from the virtually the opening kickoff. DePaul's Gwen Walker fired a shot off the crossbar in the second minute of play. The rebound found its way to Blue Demon Jade Eriksen-Russo, who delivered a shot on goal but was denied by Sullivan.
