Omaha, Neb. -- Playing its second match in as many days, the Creighton women's soccer team dropped a friendly (exhibition) match to Minnesota State-Mankato 3-1 on Friday, Feb. 26.
Using primarily reserves the Bluejays fell behind 1-0 in the first ten minutes on a goal from Jenny Vetter. The score remained 1-0 into halftime, but Creighton answered in the opening minutes courtesy of a goal from Keelie Fothergill.
The game-winning goal came in the 68th minute as some miscommunication by the Creighton defense led to an open net for Mankato's Brynn Desens.
