Madison, Wis. -- Despite a career-high 11 saves from sophomore , the Creighton women's soccer squad dropped a 2-0 contest at Wisconsin on Thursday, Aug. 24.
The loss dropped the Bluejays to 0-2-0 on the season, while Wisconsin moved to 2-1-0 overall.
Wisconsin controlled possession for the majority of the first half as the Badgers held a 10-0 shot edge, but Meola was phenomenal with seven saves in the opening 45 minutes to keep the contest scoreless at the break.
The Badgers pushed across the first goal of the match in the 53rd minute of play as Cameron Murtha sent a pass from Alexis Tye into the back of the net.
