Lincoln, Neb. -- The Creighton women's basketball team suffered a 67-62 defeat to intrastate rival Nebraska on Wednesday, Nov. 17.
The loss moved the Bluejays to 1-2 on the season, while Nebraska climbed to 4-0.
The Bluejays scored the opening bucket of the contest, but Nebraska responded with a 9-0 run to hold a 9-2 edge with 5:41 remaining. Creighton closed the quarter with an 8-2 run, highlighted a traditional three-point play from senior Tatum Rembao and a three-ball from sophomore Morgan Maly.
The second quarter belonged to Nebraska, outscoring Creighton 22-10 to take a 33-20 lead into the locker room.
