Los Angeles, Calif. -- Despite a strong performance from junior Audrey Faber, the Creighton women's basketball team dropped a 86-64 to the ninth-ranked UCLA Bruins in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday, March 20.
The loss closed Creighton's season at 19-13, while UCLA moved to 26-7. The Bruins advanced to the Kansas City Regional beginning on Friday, it is UCLA's second consecutive season reaching at least the Sweet 16.
Faber opened the game with a trey from the left-corner to give the Bluejays an advantage, but the Bruins rattled off 13 consecutive points over four minutes to surge ahead 13-3 (4:51).
