Bluejay Baseball Drops 4-1 Contest at Omaha

Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Baseball dropped a 4-1 decision to the Omaha Mavericks on Tuesday, April 4.

The loss moved the Bluejays to 12-10 on the season, while the Mavericks climbed to 11-11.

Bluejay starter took the loss (0-5), allowing four runs on three hits in one-third of an inning, while Maverick starter Charlie Bell earned the win (2-2). Bell limited Creighton to one run on five hits over 6.2 innings. Rans Sanders picked up his fourth save of the season with two scoreless frames.

After Lommel retired the first Maverick hitter, Omaha pounced on the Bluejay hurler with a walk, a single and a three-run home run from Noah Greise.
