OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton senior guard Baylor Scheierman has landed a spot on the Midseason Top 25 today for the John R. Wooden® Award presented by Principal®. Chosen by a poll of national college basketball experts, the list is comprised of 25 student-athletes who are the early front-runners for college basketball's most prestigious individual honor.
The list was unveiled earlier tonight on ESPN2 and ESPN.com.
A senior guard from Aurora, Neb., Scheierman leads Creighton with 18.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while ranking second on the team with 65 assists and 14 steals.
