OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton's Lauren Jensen and Ryan Kalkbrenner have been named to the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association 21st Annual Scholar-Athlete Team, presented by ARMS Software. Jensen is one of 11 women nationally to be recognized, while Kalkbrenner is one of 10 men to be honored.
A two-time BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, Kalkbrenner was named First Team All-BIG EAST and Field of 68's National Defensive Player of the Year after leading the Bluejay men's basketball team to the Elite Eight in 2022-23. The 7-foot-1 center averaged 15.
