OMAHA, Neb. -- Jared Wegner homered twice, but it was an intentional walk to the Bluejay junior that set the stage for Jack Grace's game-winning two-run double in Creighton Baseball's 5-3 victory over The Citadel on Saturday, April 2.
Creighton improved to 14-7 and tied a park record with its 10th straight home win dating to last season, while The Citadel dropped to 17-9 on the year with its second straight setback.
Wegner went 3-for-3 on the day while scoring three times. In the process, he became just the fifth Bluejay ever with two homers in a game in the 12-year history of Charles Schwab Field Omaha.
