Omaha, Neb. -- The 2023 Creighton Baseball season came to an end on Saturday as the Bluejays lost 10-0 to No. 9 Connecticut and Georgetown picked up a 6-5 win at Xavier. The combination of those two scores not only clinched a third straight BIG EAST regular-season title for the Huskies, but also helped the Hoyas secure the fourth and final spot in next week's BIG EAST Championships Presented by JEEP.
The Huskies took a 3-0 lead in the third inning against Bluejay starter , highlighted by Ben Huber's 14th homer of the season. Huber's homer came moments after a hit-by-pitch was overruled by instant replay and returned the husky slugger to the batter's box.
