OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton baseball team picked up a pair of one-run victories on Saturday during a doubleheader against Utah Valley. The Bluejays picked up a 3-2 win in the first game before rallying for a come-from-behind 6-5 win in the second at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.
The Bluejays improved to 3-11, while the Wolverines are now 4-14.
Creighton jumped out to a 3-0 lead with single runs during the second, fifth and sixth innings before holding on for a 3-2 victory during the first game of the day.
The Bluejays recorded only four hits, but manufactured enough runs to record their second victory of the season
In the second, Riley Landuyt drew an eight-pitch walk and came around to score following a sacrifice bunt from Brennan Hammer and RBI single by Will Robertson.
