Omaha, Neb. -- Due to forecasts that call for at least 1-3 inches of snow on Friday, temperatures near freezing on Saturday and more snow on Sunday, Creighton and Butler Baseball mutually agreed to cancel their BIG EAST opening series this weekend.
Prior to cancelling the series, attempts were made to move the series to a neutral site or to Indianapolis. Unfortunately neither was possible.
The games will not be made up. Following Creighton's victory over Kansas State last night the Bluejays are 17-6 on the season and are scheduled to return to the diamond on Tuesday, April 10 at home against South Dakota State.
