OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton men's basketball junior Trey Alexander has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading Creighton to a pair of wins.
Alexander averaged 25.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game to help the Bluejays pick up victories over Xavier (85-78) and DePaul (85-62) last week. He shot 52.6 percent from the field (20-38) and was perfect on six free-throw attempts at the line.
The Oklahoma City native had a season-high 27 points and added nine rebounds and four assists in Tuesday's win over Xavier.
