OMAHA, Neb. -- No. 9 Connecticut scored four runs in the eighth inning to rally for a 6-3 win over host Creighton on Friday evening at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. The victory moved the Huskies into first place in the BIG EAST and prevented Creighton from clinching a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament heading into Saturday's regular-season finale.
Creighton will host Connecticut on Saturday at Noon, starting at the same time that Xavier hosts Georgetown.
