LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Creighton saved a set point in the third set and left no doubt in the fourth frame to pull out a 3-1 road win at Wyoming to earn the Rumble in the Rockies title on Saturday night in Laramie, Wyo.
Scores of the match in favor fo CU were 18-25, 25-9, 30-28, 25-13.
Wyoming hit .303 to dominate the opening set before Creighton returned the favor with a 25-9 victory. THe Bluejays pounded 19 kills on .514 hitting in the second set.
After squandering four set point chances in the third set, Creighton had to overcome a point reversal after a challenge turned a 28-27 lead into a 28-27 deficit.
