OMAHA, Neb. -- South Dakota battled back from an 0-2 deficit to upset No. 14 Creighton Volleyball in five sets on Friday night at D.J. Sokol Arena. Scores of the match in favor of the visiting Coyotes were 21-25, 19-25, 25-23, 25-23, 15-13.
South Dakota (1-2) snapped Creighton's 12-match home win streak that ranked as the nation's fifth-longest streak, as the Bluejays fell to 2-1 on the young season.
Creighton trailed for much of the first set before a well-timed 8-0 rally put the Bluejays in position to take the first set. Trailing 18-14, Erica Kostelac authored a pair of aces during the 8-0 run to put CU in front for good.
