It was a successful first season for Matt Viator as ULM exceeded expectations by posting a 3-5 record in the Sun Belt and going 4-8 overall. The season was highlighted by knocking off both Georgia State and South Alabama in November as double-digit underdogs. Now with 15 total starters returning, the Warhawks appear able to do some more damage in the Fun Belt.
Viator’s staff answered some much needed questions by hitting the JUCO market hard this past recruiting period. Now the Warhawks have a solid offensive line, two experienced quarterbacks, and a defense with seven or eight likely upperclassmen starters.
