After defeating in-state rival New Mexico 30-28 on Saturday, two NMSU football players are being recognized for their performances on the field.
Quarterback Tyler Rogers and Safety Ron LaForce both had outstanding games on Saturday and were key to the Aggies winning their second straight game in the I-25 series.
Tyler Rogers continued to build off his impressive week one start, throwing for 401 yards and a career high four touchdown passes on 34-for-57 passing.
Not only did Rogers spread the ball around (he connected with 10 different receivers!), he also threw an 81 yard strike to Izaiah Lottie, which is the longest play pass by any Sun Belt quarterback this season (albeit, it was off a deflection).
