The Temple Owls were coming off a win over a ranked Maryland Terrapins team. The Buffalo Bulls were coming off a loss to the Liberty Flames, the new kids on the block in the FBS.
The Bulls were down 7-0 early following an early interception, but they scored 31 unanswered points in the 38-22 win over Temple.
Buffalo ran all over the Owls, rushing for 217 yards. Jaret Patterson ran for 133 yards and two touchdowns, while Kevin Marks added 72 yards and a score as well.
