Georgia Southern snapped a three-game losing streak in the rivalry, and was able to knock the
Shai Werts (14 carries, 129 yards, TD and a 57-yard touchdown pass on his one completion) orchestrating the ground game was sensational. But it was the Eagle defense that has been a consistent force all season that should get the collective game ball. They forced four turnovers, including three interceptions on consecutive Mountaineer drives.
