On Friday former Ball State defensive lineman Kevin Thurmon announced his intention to transfer to Arkansas State.
Thurmon just finished his second year at Ball State and played in 20 games over 2 years with 4 starts. The 6-1, 282 lb lineman finished with 32 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. Coming out of Mt. Carmel high school in Chicago, Thurmon was considered a 3 star recruit and a top 40 player in Illinois. Although seemingly having room to add some weight, Thurmon moves well, especially up field in the pass rush, and the Cardinals played him mainly as a true 3 technique.
