The New Mexico State Aggies have announced a new home and home series with Georgia Southern, beginning in 2018 via their team’s twitter page.
While this may be confusing to some that this series would even be scheduled, (Georgia Southern and NMSU already play each other in the Sun Belt), it is a very important step for the NMSU football program as they make the transition to FBS Independent status (again).
With at least 18 games left to be scheduled between the 2018 and 2019 seasons, time is slowly running out for the New Mexico State football program to try and find quality opponents who want to play them.
