It seemed as if Tulsa was about to finally get off the struggle bus they had been riding on four the past three games on Saturday. The Golden Hurricane sat comfortably with a 14-0 lead and just having recovered a fumble nearing the end of the first quarter.
Navy, however, did not let a disastrous beginning spoil their undefeated start to the season.
The Midshipmen responded by scoring 31 unanswered points to monster their way through Tulsa by 10 and give the Golden Hurricane their third consecutive loss of the season.
After giving Tulsa the early momentum on offense, Navy’s defense woke up in the second quarter and continued their firepower through the second half.
