FAU was held under their season average in points per game, yards per game, and rushing yards per game, but it didn’t matter as the Owls were able to hold on for a 30-25 win over Marshall thanks to the defense forcing four turnovers.
With just over three minutes left in the game, Jalen Young intercepted Chase Litton’s desperation heave to secure FAU’s first ever win over Marshall. It was Young’s third interception of the day.
FAU entered the game with one of the best turnover margins in the country and will remain there after another great ball-hawking performance from the defense.
