Battle of the Trojans and the Panthers

The Troy Trojans defeated conference foe Georgia Southern by a score of 31-21 Saturday in Troy, Alabama. The Trojans move to 5-1 and 3-0 in conference play, while the Panthers fell to 1-5 and 1-1 in the conference.

Troy struggled in the first half, coming away with two field goals that gave them a 6-0 lead at half.

The Panthers’ own Conner Manning played well against the Trojans despite throwing two interceptions. Manning passed the ball for 381 yards going 28 for 52 with three touchdown passes.

Kamryn Melton and Demetrius Cain each forced an interception for the Trojan defense.
