Appalachian State Thumps Savannah State 54-7.

Appalachian State returned to true ASU form on Saturday afternoon with a 54-7 victory over the Tigers of Savannah State. In front of a gold clad crowd at Kidd Brewer Stadium the Mountaineers struck early and often. The App defense came right out of the gate and held the Tigers to a three-and-out providing some relief after last week.

Taylor Lamb and the offense went to work and marched right down field as Jalin Moore pounded it in from 2 yards out to put App up 7-0. Lamb would then hit tight end Levi Duffield for a 57-yard touchdown on the next drive to pull ahead 14-0.
