The Mountaineers added immediate depth to its defensive line on Thursday with the addition of Markell Clark out of Dacula, Georgia.
Clark committed to Navy in 2016 while spending the year at the Navy Preparatory academy. He decommitted on May 30th and quickly received offers from several teams, including Georgia State and Appalachian State. Just two days after receiving the Mountaineer’s offer, Clark committed.
Before the preparatory academy, Clark was a hard-hitting nose guard with active hands for Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama. His excellent vision and release allows him to make plays at the point of attack.
