It’s been just five years since the Columbus Crew last appeared in the MLS Cup Final and, like with any other team in the league, the Black & Gold has significantly changed its roster since that 2-1 setback to the Portland Timbers at MAPFRE Stadium on Dec. 6, 2015.
Only four players from that squad are part of the roster that will face the Seattle Sounders on Saturday and only two of them have never left Columbus in fullbacks Harrison Afful and Hector Jimenez – goalkeeper Matt Lampson and left back Waylon Francis have departed and returned since then.
