The past two years in Columbus Crew SC fandom has been a roller coaster of emotions.
Grant Wahl’s infamous tweet announcing a potential move to Austin, Texas dropped in the late hours of October 16, 2017. Less than one year later, on October 12, 2018, news spread that Jimmy and Deee Haslems and Dr. Pete Edwards had reached an agreement with Major League Soccer to purchase the Crew from Precourt Sports Venture and promised to build a downtown stadium.
Just under one year later, the first official renderings of that downtown stadium were released on Tuesday morning, a few weeks before groundbreaking.
