Twitter Reacts: Crew SC loses but there’s actually next year

It’s been a long and tumultuous year, but the 2018 Columbus Crew SC season reached its conclusion on Sunday night. A 3-0 shutout loss to the New York Red Bulls put an end to a lengthy season in Central Ohio. Fans anticipated that this day would come, but weren’t sure of the emotions that would accompany it.

Luckily, on Oct. 12, the community was provided with some clarity when an investment group consisting of Pete Edwards and Cleveland Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam emerged with a plan to Save The Crew.

With the promise of that security blanket lurking in fans minds, it made Sunday’s loss easier to cope with.
