Sources: Carlos Correa, Minnesota Twins agree to 3-year, $105.3 million deal with opt-outs

Shortstop Carlos Correa and the Minnesota Twins are in agreement on a three-year, $105.3 million contract that includes opt-outs after the first two seasons, sources confirmed to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Correa's deal with will pay him $35.1 million in each of the three years.

Correa, 27, is coming off perhaps his best season, posting a career-best 7.2 WAR, according to baseball-reference.com, which ranked third in the American League. He hit .279 with 26 homers, 92 RBI and 104 runs scored. The oft-injured Correa played in 148 games, his most since the 2016 season.
