Crew SC will play Veracruz of Mexico’s Liga MX in an international exhibition game at 7:30 p.m. May 11 in Mapfre Stadium. The game will be the 20th international friendly hosted by the Crew since its inception in 1996.
The Tiburones Rojos, or Red Sharks, will conclude their season May 5. They currently are in the 16th place in Mexico’s 18-team top division after finishing eighth in the season-opening Apertura.
Veracruz will also play in a Copa MX final against visiting Necaxa on April 13 and has a chance to advance to the Copa Libertadores, South America’s club championship, in 2017.
