Soccer | Crew: Ola Kamara not worried about scoring drought

Related Topics: Kei Kamara, Ola Kamara

Before meeting with reporters Thursday, Ola Kamara made it clear that his focus was — and therefore the interview should be — on what lies ahead, not behind.

Given how his first Major League Soccer season has progressed, it’s not hard to understand why. Signed in the offseason to provide depth and compete with Kei Kamara for playing time, Ola took over the starting job when Kei was traded to New England and had an immediate impact. But since Kamara’s prolific run netted 10 goals during nine games, the 26-year-old is scoreless in his past five appearances and the past six Crew games overall.
