Crew fans can begin holding their breath again, because the possibility of the club selling Max Arfsten is still very real. Reports say French side Toulouse of Ligue 1 has upped the ante for the 24-year-old wingback.
Going to have to do better than that
After coming in with a lowball offer in early June, Toulouse seemed to back off after Arfsten was named to the USMNT roster for the Gold Cup. But according to a social media post by soccer reporter Favian Renkel, the Crew recently rejected a new offer of just over $2 million. That’s still far below Arfsten’s estimated value of nearly $3 million by Transfermkt.
