Fresh off its strongest finish in franchise history, the Columbus Eagles announced the team’s 2019 Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) schedule on Tuesday. The WPSL team is setting its sights on bigger and bolder aspirations in the coming year.
Columbus opens the preseason against the Ohio Dominican Panthers. The Division II program poses a tough first test for new head coach Matt Ogden. The Panthers offer a blend of physicality and finesse that will challenge the Eagles right out of the gate. Following a clash with ODU, Columbus rounds out the preseason home schedule against the Ohio Bobcats and Otterbein Cardinals.
