October is here and with it comes the first Columbus Crew game of the new month on Sunday. The Black & Gold are in Chester, Pennsylvania to take on the Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park this afternoon. The two sides haven’t played since late June when the Union defeated the Crew 1-0 in Pennsylvania.
Since that June win for Philly, the reigning Supporters’ Shield winners have dealt with a midseason slump and a CONCACAF Champions League exit. Recent form for the Union suggets things are turned around. however, with results in the last three Major League Soccer games.
