Hours before groundbreaking on Columbus Crew SC’s new downtown stadium, the Crew and Nationwide Realty Investors announced that they had agreed to waive all contract contingencies on the stadium’s land, paving the way for the land purchase to be completed by the end of the month. This effectively renders the team’s deal to purchase the Arena District land for the stadium complete and paves the way for a July 2021 opening.
In a joint statement, the Black & Gold and Nationwide Realty Investors announced that “as anticipated, all contract contingencies have been waived and the pending purchase of the land will close by the end of the month.
