Five-time World Cup winners Brazil were too much for the U.S. Men’s National Team as the South Americans had no trouble taking the Stars & Stripes down 2-0 in a friendly match at the MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey, this Friday. Columbus Crew SC’s players Zack Steffen, Wil Trapp and Gyasi Zardes all featured in the match.
Steffen, who recorded his fourth start for the National Team, conceded multiple goals in the international scene for the first time, but the 23-year-old goalkeeper wasn’t to blame for the American setback as there wasn’t much he could do in either of the Brazilian goals.
