After D.C. United acquires Jamaican striker Deshorn Brown (via a trade with the Houston Dynamo for the first spot in the MLS Allocation Order), Columbus Crew SC will take over the first spot in the Allocation Order for the first time since signing Kei Kamara off the list in 2014.
The MLS Allocation Order is a mechanism for the league’s teams to acquire either players transferred out of MLS or U.S. Men’s National Team and U.S. Youth National Team players who have not played in MLS.
